Exotic Pet Services

Specialized services for exotic pets, ensuring their well-being and happiness.

All pets require specialized care as they are all different whether in colour, shape or size. Our veterinary care team can support the unique needs of exotics such as snakes, iguanas, lizards and more. We can guide you on the care they need to prevent disorders and illnesses.

How do I ensure my pet snake stays healthy?

Snakes need annual wellness exams as they can develop diseases that affect their liver, respiratory and gastrointestinal organs. Annual exams can also detect parasites like ticks, mites, hookworms and roundworms that can damage their health. During wellness exams we can share knowledge on enclosures, temperature, humidity, skin shedding, cleaning etc. that are safe and appropriate for your pet. We can also provide veterinary care if your snake shows signs of illness such as vomiting, bubbles around the nostrils, fatigue, diarrhea, and changes on their skin or mouth. Please call us immediately at 604-591-5304 if you notice these signs.

What are common signs of illness in exotic pets?

Knowing what changes to look for in your exotic pet can help them get prompt treatment. Ultimately, this can lessen the effect of their illness. Sometimes your pet experiences health problems if their habitat or diet doesn’t meet their needs. Here are some signs that your exotic pet is unwell:
